Millie May was compassionate and bold. She was a single mom, a generous soul, and a great cook. Millie would do anything for anyone, with gusto! And when she learned about the plight of her good friend, she even mortgaged her own home to help purchase the land for our shelter. Read more...

Something pulled at the Lorrie Wingerd's heart when she heard what the organization does. She was inspired by Millie May’s passion for helping survivors of domestic violence. It was a worthy cause, and Lorrie was happy to help in whatever way she could.
