You can help survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, by giving your talent and time in a variety of ways.

 

Helping Hands Against Violence relies heavily on the caring and commitment of volunteers to give hope and safety to survivors.

Helping Hands welcomes volunteers to help provide:

• a 24-hour crisis line, answered by volunteers and staff members

• emergency shelter at the Chrysalis House, a six-room 30-day emergency shelter

• transitional housing for women and their children who have been victims of crime and would otherwise be homeless. 

 

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

• Hotline-training is provided

• Life-Skills - Young Women’s Center residents valuable life skills from budgeting to hobbies

• Young Women’s Center Mentor

• Office - assistance with mass-mailings

• Special Events - assistance in everything from organizing to decorating

• Services - are you willing to share your expert services (CPA, tech support, social media) with our staff?

• Work parties for maintenance, repair and gardening - this is a great option for church and community service groups
